1. Who we are

This Privacy Policy explains how Skylinedrone Ltd collects, uses, stores and protects personal information in connection with skylinedrone.co.uk, project enquiries, Procurement Pack access and the delivery of our services.

For the personal data described in this policy, Skylinedrone Ltd is the data controller unless another arrangement is expressly agreed for a particular project.

2. The information we may collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we may process:

  • Contact and business details, such as your name, business email address, telephone number, company or organisation and job-related information you choose to provide.
  • Enquiry and project information, including messages, project location, programme information, project stage, requirements, quotations, correspondence and other information needed to assess or deliver a service.
  • Procurement Pack access details, currently your name, business email address and company or organisation, together with a security-check response and technical submission information.
  • Technical and website-use information, such as IP address, browser/device information, access times, pages viewed, consent preferences and cookie or analytics information where applicable.
  • Business and transaction records where you become a client or supplier, including quotation, contract, invoicing and payment-related records.
  • Project imagery. During construction UAV capture, photography or video work, imagery may incidentally contain identifiable people, vehicles, premises or other information. We handle such material in the context of the contracted service and applicable legal, safety and privacy requirements.

We do not ask website visitors to create a Skylinedrone user account and we do not collect GPS location from a visitor's device as a normal requirement of using this website.

3. How we collect information

We may receive personal information when you:

  • contact us by email, telephone, LinkedIn, the website or another business channel;
  • request a quotation, discuss a project or engage Skylinedrone to provide services;
  • request access to the Procurement Pack;
  • interact with website features, embedded media, maps or analytics where these are enabled; or
  • provide information to us through a client, contractor, consultant, project partner or other legitimate business source.

Where information is obtained from a third party or a public professional source rather than directly from you, we use it only where there is a lawful and relevant business reason to do so.

4. Why we use personal information and our lawful bases

We use personal information only where we have a lawful basis. Depending on the circumstances, this may include:

  • Steps at your request before entering a contract and performance of a contract — for quotations, project discussions, project delivery and related administration.
  • Legitimate interests — to respond to genuine business enquiries, provide controlled Procurement Pack access, maintain appropriate business records, improve our services, protect the website and prevent misuse, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights.
  • Consent — for non-essential cookies, analytics, embedded services or communications where consent is required. You can withdraw consent at any time.
  • Legal obligation — where we must keep or disclose information to meet tax, accounting, regulatory, aviation, insurance, safety or other legal requirements.

Procurement Pack access details are used to provide and administer access, maintain an appropriate procurement/audit record and respond to relevant enquiries. Requesting the pack does not automatically add you to a marketing mailing list.

5. Cookies, analytics and embedded services

We use Complianz to manage cookie consent and preferences. The website may use services such as Google Analytics, YouTube, Google Maps and Google reCAPTCHA, and may contain LinkedIn or WhatsApp functionality. Non-essential storage or access is controlled through the consent mechanism where required.

Google Fonts are configured to be self-hosted by Skylinedrone, so the website does not normally need to contact Google simply to display those fonts.

Our gated Procurement Pack uses a first-party functional access cookie named skylinedrone_procurement_access. It is set after a successful access request, is required to provide controlled access to the download area, and expires after approximately 24 hours.

For current details of cookies, purposes, providers and consent controls, please read our Cookie Policy or use the site's Manage consent control.

6. Who we may share information with

We do not sell personal information. Where necessary for the purposes described above, information may be shared with:

  • website hosting, security, email, form, analytics and technology providers acting on our behalf or supplying website functionality;
  • professional advisers such as accountants, insurers or legal advisers;
  • suitably qualified subcontractors or specialist suppliers where needed to deliver an agreed service;
  • clients, project partners or other parties where disclosure is necessary for the relevant project and is lawful; and
  • regulators, public authorities, law-enforcement bodies or courts where required by law.

Some technology providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where applicable, we rely on appropriate contractual, adequacy or other lawful safeguards for international transfers.

7. How long we keep information

We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, taking account of project, contractual, procurement, security, insurance, accounting and legal requirements.

The Procurement Pack access cookie expires after approximately 24 hours. The associated request/submission record may be retained for longer where reasonably necessary to administer procurement access, respond to an enquiry, maintain an audit trail or meet legal requirements.

When information is no longer required, it is deleted, anonymised or securely disposed of where reasonably practicable.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal information against accidental loss, unauthorised access, alteration or disclosure. No internet service can be guaranteed completely secure, but we keep access to business systems and website administration restricted to appropriate users and providers.

9. Your data-protection rights

Depending on the circumstances and the lawful basis being used, you may have rights to:

  • request access to your personal information;
  • ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information;
  • request deletion of information in certain circumstances;
  • request restriction of processing;
  • object to processing based on legitimate interests or to direct marketing;
  • request portability of certain information; and
  • withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

These rights are not absolute in every circumstance. To exercise a right, email fly@skylinedrone.co.uk. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

10. Automated decision-making

We do not use website enquiry or Procurement Pack access data to make solely automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects on individuals.

11. Complaints

If you have a concern about our use of your personal information, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it. You also have the right to complain to the UK's data-protection regulator, the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO). Information about making a complaint is available at ico.org.uk.

12. Other websites

This website may link to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for their privacy practices. Please review the privacy information provided by the relevant third party before supplying personal information to them.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when our website, services, legal requirements or data-processing activities change. The current version will be published on this page with its latest update date.

14. Related documents

This policy should be read alongside our Terms of Business and Cookie Policy.
